I haven't downloaded an Arashi perf in a long while, mainly because most downloads require me to join the community, which I dislike (me and my odd peeves). But I downloaded this one because it promised the most awkward moment in the history of Arashi, aka the translucent costumes debut. XP I really wonder what eventually happened to the fashion coordinator who worked on this project.

It was so fun watching both fresh-from-the-Junior-ranks-Arashi (my gosh...chibi JUN and his voice!! And awkward members) and now-10-years-old-Arashi (haha they looked embarrassed amused by how they looked/behaved/spoke back then). Well, history does come back to haunt you!

Aniwaes, I disgressed. My main purpose is to share this screencap from Music station 13 Nov 2009

I love his eyebrows!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol....Forgive me, Jun, but Sho's brows look really good!! Especially when he does that faint frown! This performance is like one of the better ones I've seen for My Girl...although I've only seen 2. XP But yeah, all 5 looked happy and good, Jun looks relaxed, Nino openly flirted with Ohno, and Aiba's just plain cute. Of course, Sho's brows. =)

Who cares about the teeny weeny possibility that Mi Nam could be Tae Kyung's half-sibling?

Not when I have to stop myself from slamming a fist onto the table everytime Tae Kyung goes, "Why do I feel this way?", or "Why do I get angry/worried/startled because of Go Mi Nam?", or "What is Go Mi Nam to me?", or "Why did I do this?"

I was so tired after translating ep 11, but I still went on to watch ep 12 with the hope that something good would perk me up. But no! After the climax at the end of ep 11, Tae Kyung still failed to recognise his feelings and just disregarded what he did on impulse (I like how his eyes widened when he suddenly realised that he was kissing Mi Nam in ep 11. So, it's instinctive!!). In He Yi's words, he's an idiot who doesn't even know his own feelings!

But, the thing is, I can't be bothered even if Tae Kyung turns out to be her half-brother (which is highly unlikely). Because:

Shin Woo hyung?

- Un..Noona asked me to come.
- I'm sorry. I was just trying this out with Coordi. I'll go change now.

Ah, no...no...Noona did so much to show me this. It'll be a waste if I didn't see anything.

Mi Nam, you're really beautiful.

KANG SHIN WOO! You lost me to Tae Kyung from ep 3 to ep 11. But now, you've caught up! His expression when he first saw Mi Nam is epic. I like the acting here! He really seemed to be in a daze! Not a stonic daze though. Favourite scene of the ep!! Well, Hwang Tae Kyung-sshi, I'll give you one more chance. Since you've FINALLY came to know about the meaning behind Mi Nam's pig nose, do something about it already! I'm still waiting for my download to complete, so I took the screencaps off tudou...One last one. Doesn't this reminds of Goong? The green house-like area in between Lee Shin and Chaegyung's rooms. And Mi Nam's clothes are so Goong-ish too! Plus Shin Woo's wearing formal wear! haha!

Finally, from Mo Hwa Ran's mouth, she's not their (the Go siblings) mother! She's looking for them, and wants to act as their mother because it was due to her to their mother died. YAY for Tae Kyung, Boo for Shin Woo.

I had wanted to just talk about the hair, after seeing the latest BTS photos...but as I browsed through my folders for hair, I decided I might as well do one on clothes too. So here you go, hair and clothes, the two most important items for guys.

As the drama progressed, the stylists decided to support the screenwriters' attempt to position Jeremy as THE comic factor of the drama. How so? Since they have no control over the character development, they'll do what they are best at! So here we go, be prepared.

From this pretty boy hair befitting a boyband,

To slightly dorky, but still acceptable if you see it as "leading fashion trends",

To outright strange mushroomy hair, which seems to me was a result of them putting a bowl over his head and snipping the beautiful godlen locks off while eyeing another eye candy two seats down the row
(clue: the one whose hairstyle seemed to be invertly related to Jeremy's hairstyle),

And finally, the one that led to this post, mushroomy hair + rubber band around the mushroom.

And just one different from normal hairstyle which I liked

Don't get me wrong. Hong Ki (Or Hong Gi?) is absolutely cute, hot even. Here, I uploaded an extra picture just to emphasis this point. Here you go, EXTRA large.

But really, his hairstyles are getting weirder and weirder. And the weird thing is, as I watched on, the weird hairstyles start to grow ok...Grow cute even, I guess the stylists' plan worked! Their creation matched and accentuated Jeremy's character in the drama. But still, I want the pretty boy back!!

And while I'm at it, here's how the fashion coordinator coordinated with the stylists' efforts as well.

There were normal clothes that normal people, or not-so-normal showbiz people would wear. But in between, we had

SCREENCAPS + SPOILERS

1. KM's first time attending the press conference for the launch of their drama series. The MC had to tell KM not to stand so close to YE because it'll be difficult for the press to take photos. LOL. Cute!
2. The MC asked YE, "What have you lost or gained by taking up this drama?" She answered, "I've lost my classic lines* but I've gained a lot as well. Like the feeling a thumping heart. Having someone holding a torch to light up my path at night. Not too vivid but a warm kind of thumping." AWWW I LOVE THIS SCENE!! It was kind of sweet. And for the first time we see a sentimental side of YE.
3. SA commented on working with KM, "...he will only be nice to his artistes, his scriptwriter, his staff and his woman (KM had told her that before)...he is the type of guy every girl will like."

* Prior to Ticket to the Moon, all of YE's dramas had 'classic lines' which are said to be YE's strength and trademark. KM, however, said that those lines were too mushy and no one says that in real life. He even went on to quote examples from one drama she wrote, like "My heart cannot (be) take(n) out" (a female lead said this in response to the male lead going to her shop everyday to take out some food), "You are lost from my heart" (the male lead telling the supporting female lead that she stands no chance) and "I'm downloading your love but your love is buffering too slowly" (the supporting female lead telling the male lead in disappointment). Other examples, from the same drama, include "She is the air that makes me breathe, but this air is dying of an illness". KM said that if the character development is good, even a simple line like "Have you eaten?" can become a classic line. Hence, in Ticket to the Moon, no such lines were added in.

1. YE and her assistant checking the viewership ratings of the first ep! Her assistant has really weird hair, but she had an important role in pushing the plot forward and provided the basis for many plot development.
2. For the first time, KM made it clear to YE that he is interested in her. KM had asked YE out for lunch to discuss the script because he felt that one part was strange. YE asked him why make her go all the way to that restaurant (her mom's) when she has food in her work apartment. KM gave a really sweet answer. "Why did you introduce me to your mom? Or is this a place where only KJ can come?" YE was bewildered as to what KM was saying. "The last time we came, your mom was practically treating KJ as her son-in-law!" he said, with a tinge of jealousy. YE tried to change topic by starting the discussion on the script. KM was concerned that in the drama, the female lead held no memory of having a younger sister although she was almost 10 when she parted with her younger sister. "For the younger sister, it is possible since she was young when they parted. But for the older one, how could she have forgotten?" YE replied, "There are some people who, because the incident was too painful, subconciously shut off some memories." "Are there people like this?" "There are. There is one in front of you." YE was refering to her holding only blur memories of the few months after her divorce. KM probed about it saying that he is interested to know but YE told him she will tell him next time, after she has recalled everything.
3. In the later episodes, the viewership went on falling. At this moment, YE recalled a conversation with KM while on their way to the press conference previously. YE was complaining about having to wake up so early for the press conference and was yawning non-stop. KM then said, "Take a nap if you want. I can lend you my shoulder." YE was stunned for a moment and when she realised what he meant, she said, "Why do I have to borrow yours? I have one myself! *tsk* I can never understand why girls like to rest their heads on guys' shoulders. It is so uncomfortable! I have this! *refering to the neckrest behind her*. I will never do that!" To this, KM replied, "But you've done that before. What about having a guy pull your blanket for you? Can you accept that?" A shocked YE said, "What? I've even done that? You mean you've been seeing my sleeping look all along?" KM did not respond to this but went on to say, "If the viewership is bad, don't be upset by it. You must continue writing and must go back to your room to sleep, even if fr just a few minute. Otherwise, I feel very pressurised. I'll not be able to visit you and pull the blankets for you," he said. I like how they used this flashback method. In fact, the drama has a lot of flashbacks here and there that slowly adds depth into the characters' relationship and character development.

1. After the first episode was aired, YE went to the filming location to visit the filming crew and cast.
2. After a while, KJ started teasing KM on his 'LiLi Massage' incident, commenting that he should not go to such unhealthy places. The look of helplessness on KM's face was quite funny as he kept denying it but to nno avail.
3. As filming begun, YE wanted to leave saying that she didn't want to disturb the filming. But KM insisted she stay and assured that she will not be disturbing them.
4. Later, KM said to YE, "For the last time, I just want to clarify that that lighter is not mine." And that brought a smile of mutual understanding on both YE's and KM's face.

1. This scene was hilarious!!! In the script for the next few episodes of Ticket to the Moon, Cherry (the female lead in Ticket to the Moon) had very few scenes and so her manager stormed to YE's work apartment to demand that YE change the script to increase Cherry's scenes. He threatened to remove Cherry from the drama otherwise. In the middle of this conversation, YE's assistant intervened and told YE that KM was calling for her on the phone and needed to speak to her immediately regarding the script. YE went into her room to answer the phone call. Her assistant told the manager not to wait because YE will usually take very long in such discussions.
2. The manager stood up to leave and in the background we hear YE speaking very loudly on the phone. At this moment, KM walked into the work apartment!!!!!! The manager realised what YE was doing and left.
3. YE was really embarrassed when she realised that the manager knew what she was up to as she made a fool of herself pretending to be discussing stuff with KM in the room. KM had went to the apartment to look at the script for the next episode. KM had this habit of drawing a circle at parts of the script which he felt was interesting. Hence, YE always paid close attention whenever he looked through the script, to see how many circles she received. This time round, he only put on circle and YE was disappointed. However we see a change in her already. If it was in the past, she would have threw a tantrum and stood up against the director saying that her script was perfect and not as bad as the director made it to be. This time round, however, she asked KM why only one part of the script was interesting and whether the script was really that bad. KM laughed when he realised that YE was so concerned about the circles. He explained that the whole script except for the circled part was interesting and he couldn't possibly circle every interesting part of the script so he circled the non-interesting part instead. As he was about to leave, YE asked him if it was possible that he stop this "script editing" process in the future and asked that he trust her script-writing. KM's answer melted my heart and really showed me how simple lines like this can become a classic line (see * on Strip 16 above). He said, "I am not editing your script. I just want to be the first person in Korea to read your script." To his disappointment, YE replied, "You're not the first. My assistant (who proof-reads for her) is the first." "Do you really need an assistant?" he remarked.

1. This scene was so so so sad. Cherry's manager did as he threatened and told Cherry not to report for filming. This set off a chain effect: YE's company (whose manager was very close to her) was facing cashflow problems and without Cherry manager's promised investment, may just fold up, the filming schedule was all messed up...The fact that it was because YE's refusal to change the script according to Cherry's manager's wishes which led to all these crisises made YE very guilty. In this scene, she was seen, for the first time, sobbing very loudly in her room.
2. KM arrived at her work apartment and heard her sobs from the living room. He wanted to go in and comfort her but in the end decided to wait in the living room instead.
3. After a long time, YE came out of her room and found KM there. She pretended to be unaffected by the circumstances and said, "I've heard about Cherry. It must be difficult for you - you can't handle Cherry and you can't ask the scriptwriter to change the script. But it's ok. You know I'm a fast worker. I can change th-" KM interrupted her saying, "Don't change the script. I've seen the script leading up to those episodes and I too agree that Cherry's scenes in those episode must be that little given the current plot development. Let's just change the plot and remove Cherry from the story. But you will have to give me the amended script by this weekend." Her eyes already watery, YE insisted, "No, just let me change the script." What follows is really bittersweet. "Don't...Don't cry anymore," KM took a deep breath and continued, "My heart will ache." To that, YE broke down, sobbing furiously.

1. Cherry's problem was finally solved and she returned to the set. KM gave YE a call and asked her to visit the filming location so Cherry can apologise to her for causing so much problems. Later, the two had a quiet moment and YE suddenly said, "Had another woman..." She then began to tell KM about her previous marriage - her husband had an affair, right on her bed, the bed that her mom handpicked for her using the pair of hands she used to serve customers all her life.
2. As she ended, KM asked solemnly, "Shall I take revenge for you?" "Huh?" "I can buy you another bed, after my salary has been unfrozen." All these with a solemn face. YE thought he was joking and started to fake a laugh but stopped suddenly when she realised that his hand was on hers.
3. Then, out of the blue, KM said something totally off-topic. "Ah, that assistant director...he had better not make any mistakes today or I'll be hard on him." YE was lost and asked, "What does it have to do with the assistant director?" "Well, if you don't want me to find faults with him, introduce me to your mom!" And so, they ended up in her mom's restaurant with KM trying to get her to introduce him to her mom. She didn't. XP

1. THIS IS THE CLASSIC SCENE IN THIS DRAMA!!!!!! YE found out that the lady who had been helping her out with the housework as a domestic helper was KM's mom. The two agreed not to let KM know about this because KM had a lot of pride and they were worried that he may be hurt when he knows of that. A worried YE went to her usual hideout, the bookshop. To her surprise, KM appeared and sat beside her. Noticing that she looked very worn-out, he offered her his shoulder again. This time round, YE did not refuse his offer. Instead, she asked, "My head is very heavy as it contains a lot of things. Is it ok for you?" KM answered by moving closer to YE and YE then rested her head on KM's shoulder, shutting her eyes. We see a very tender-looking KM here yo! After a while, he said, "Don't be shocked."
2. YE got up from his shoulder and gave him a puzzled look.
3. AND THEN HE KISSED HER! A soft kiss, but....................awwwwwwwwwwww

1. KM's look of intoxication as he thought back about the kiss.
2. As for YE, she was confused and very affected by the kiss because she had to sing herself a lullaby to clam herself down. She received an sms from KM which reads, "Go out with me after the drama ends. Not as my scriptwriter, or my staff. As my woman."
3. The next day (?), YE appears at the filming set and told KM she had something to discuss with him. KM pulled a seat next to him and gestured her to take a seat. However, YE told KM that she prefered a quieter place. A fleeting smile appeared on KM's face but he made it disappear immediately. Walking pass YE, he asked cheekily, "What is it you want to discuss that needs a quiet place?" We later find out that it wasn't anything romantic as KM had imagined. It was 'bad news' and YE wanted to change the ending of the drama and to refilm the last episode, which they had previously filmed in Taiwan. It would need more money, time and cooperation from the cast and so KM was against it initially since he felt that the ending they had filmed was good enough. However, YE insisted that the new ending was better and tried to pursuade KM. She drew out the script for the last episode and passed it to him saying, "This is the script for the last episode. My assistant had not seen it yet."

1. This guy is the male lead in TIcket to the Moon and erm, pretty ok looking but his face complexion is really bad.
2. KM was filming one of the last scenes in the drama and this scene was about the female supporting lead (yes in this drama, the female supporting lead ended up with the male lead) expressing her love for the male lead. The male lead was very touched and said, "Don't be shocked." He then went on to kiss her.
3. As he watched the scene throughout the monitor, KM can't help but to smile at the fact that YE had included their kiss scene into the script.
4. I wonder if he was smiling because he felt that it was sweet for YE to include that scene, or because he felt embarrassed thinking about how strange he must have looked when he did the exact some thing to YE, or because that scene reminded him of his kiss with YE

1. After the last episode aired, YE went back to her work apartment to pack stuff. KM went to look for her with beer and tidbits. As they chatted, KM suddenly asked, "Why didn't you reply to my sms?" At YE's confused look, he continued, "Go out with me after the drama ends. Not as my scriptwriter, or my staff. As my woman." WHen YE did not respond, KM leaned over to kiss her. He then upped the tension saying, "I'm not returning home tonight. I want to spend the night here." But YE didn't not respond either. "You dislike that?" he asked. Again YE did not respond. So he continued, "Haven't you thought about this issue before?" When YE finally replied, she said, "I'll see you at the celebratory dinner tomorrow." KM pulled her back as she tried to leave the living room and said, "Look at me." YE refused to and instead said, "How could I not have thought about it, not dreamt about it? I was really happy when you first opened your heart to me. Everyime you do something to touch me, my heart wavers. When it stops, it's ok because another day, you will do something again and my heart will waver once more. But today, the last time has arrived. As of tomorrow, I will no longer be a scriptwriter, or a woman. I'll be someone's mother." This was so sad!!! It must be really hard for her because she was a divorcee with a child and was older than KM. Their relationship was not generally acceptable in her society.
2. The next day, after the dinner, KM sent her back to her work apartment. He commented, "I know you don't want me to know where you live, that's why you decided to come back here (instead of her own house). I may be tricked once but I won't be fooled again." I think he was refering to her bringing him to her work apartment instead of her house the other time when he pretended to be drunk in her mom's restaurant. He left her saying that he will go meet her and her son the next day. He wanted to know if the problem lies with her ex-husband or with her son because if it was her son, it wasn't a problem at all since he had knew about his existance right from the start.
3. The next day, KM went to her house with a bouquet of roses. I guess he must have found out her address somehow.
4. But as he arrived outside her house, he was greeted by a scene of YE sending his mom off.

1. This is a must-watch scene because Yongha really acted his part well in showing surprise, realisation and anguish.
2. I love this shoot of him turning around and throwing the bouquet onto the ground. It looked very...shuai.
3. KM cries for the first time in the drama, as he realised how much his mom had suffered working outside and all the while he was just concerned about his own happiness and not his mom.
4. As for YE, she regreted hurting KM. She took out her phone and looked at the photo KM had forced her to take with him the night before at the dinner, colouring it with a pink tie.

1. There was a scene before this of KM and YE's son (Jun Hee) at a cafe. Although KM tried to talk to him as a child, regarding his feelings towards YE, Jun Hee surprised KM by being as sharp-tongued as his mom and very matured. Jun Hee asked KM if his mom really liked him because if so, why didn't KM know where she was at the moment. When KM tried to ask him about that, Jun Hee said, "You'll have to find out yourself."
   And so where was she?
2. KM found her, at the place where they previously admired the sakuras together. YE was surprised and asked, "How did you know I was here? Even my assistant doesn't know (in the past, KM would get all sorts of info about her from her assistant)." KM replied, "From now on, I will become someone who understands you more than your assistant does."
3. KM told YE that his mom doesn't like successful woman and that brought a worried look on YE's face. But he continued saying, "But I like. Let's work together to win the approval of our parents. Properly introduce me to your mom next time." When YE did not respond, KM gave up and used the classic lines YE previousluy wrote (see * on Strip 16 above). "Can I take out YE's heart? Tsk, your love is buffering too slowly! You are the air that makes me breathe!" he smiled.
4. That won him a smile from YE.

1. KM put out his hand.
2. This part is very beautifully taken.
3. The way YE placed her hand on his was beautiful and showed hesitation at one point

1. In the final scene of the whole drama, we have KM ad YE sitting at a field after sending SA and KJ off at the airport (they were flying to USA for an audition). YE teased KM saying that it was a good day to take a break but she was sorry that she can't accompany him because she had a meeting to discuss her new script. KM said it was already because he also had a meeting with this other scriptwriter. YE threw him an irritated look and asked, "Are you really going to work with her?" KM, as if he was trying to spite her, said, "Why not? She write good scripts, is nice and beautiful! Why wouldn't I want to work with her?" "Even if I ask you not to?" "You don't like her?" "I dislike her! I dislike that she writes well. I dislike that she's beautiful. I dislike that she's young! I dislike everything!" she barked and got up to walk away. I miss this side of YE, the childish side. XP Too sentimental makes her not her.
2. KM got up and chased after her, pulling her hand back.
3. When he removed his palm from her, a ring shows.
4. "Do you like? This is a ring my mom bought for her daughter-in-law. She bought this using money earned from cleaning and washing for others." Compare this to YE's previous conversation with KM, that her bed was chosen by her mom with hands used to serve people all her life.

1. KM puts on the ring for her.
2. And for the first time, he says, "사랑해" (I love you)
3. In response, YE said, "사랑해" as well.
4. And they lived happily ever after!!!! 

If you noticed, a lot of sweet scenes were very simple and scattered all over. It is only towards the end of the drama that you can look back and appreciate what those scene meant and how they built up to the finale.

SCREENCAPS + SPOILERS

1. Their first official meeting, at the psychiatric department of a hospital. YE was there for research for her script, KM was there to meet a friend who worked in the department. However, she mistook him as a patient. The first encounter was bad and ended with her commenting that his dress style was 'unbalance' and that he would look much better with a pink tie
2. YE ran off to Taiwan after refusing to work on a script for the TV station SBC. The department head got KM to get her back from Taiwan. He arrived at her hotel room just as she woke up. She saw him looking at her nightwear and thought he saw something he shouldn't so hid behind the door. Actually, he was looking because her wore her nightie inside-out!
3. YE couldn't stand KM following her around for the whole day and complained to his head, who then threatened to sack KM for irritating her. During a confrontation by the sea, KM pushed her into the waters. Of course, she can't swim so he had to save her. XP We get a glimpse of a topless KM when he returns to YE's hotel room to dry himself. MUAHAHA
4. After much threats and coaxing, KM moved into YE's work apartment to discuss the script with her.

1. The title of the short drama is "Ticket to the Moon"
2. During a dinner session after work, YE was drowning herself with soju because of some problems with casting. As she complained on, she suddenly blanked out and fell face-down towards the table. Fortunately, KM was quicky enough to throw his hands under her face before it met the food in front of her. He commented, "How can someone like this write a script?" I thought this scene was really cute and original.
3. Once, KJ brought KM to YE's mom's restaurant. For some reason, KM got drunk after half a bottle of beer. KJ got YE to help bring KM to her work apartment near the restaurant. Back at the apartment, while KJ and YE were chatting in the living room after putting KM into bed, KM walked out of the bedroom suddenly, shouting into his hp. Obviously he was pretending to be drunk. For what reason? We only get a hint of it at the last episode.
4. The four leads at a karaoke! A really funny scene with weird dance moves and off-pitch singing. YE was drunk and KM had to send her home. But contrary to expectations, no sweet moments (think kdrama) happened at her work apartment - like her vomiting on him and he had to stay behind, or her grabbing his hands so he had to sleep next to her, or her sleeping on his arm so his arm went numb the next morning, or wadever. It was simple and he just put her on the sofa and left. Simple. Fortunately!

1. KM and YE were in Taiwan scouting for filming locations. KJ and SA were there for some promotions. There was a free-and-easy day and KM met SA at a tourist district. SA jumped before the camera while KM was taking a photo so he has her photo in his camera by accident.
2. When the other tourists realised that SA, a celebrity, was there, they started taking photos. KM took out his cap and placed in on SA's head to cover her face.
3. As the crowd gathered, the two starting running away.
4. Holding hands. This scene made me wonder if KM will end up with SA afterall because when they returned to the hotel, both were shown thinking of this incident - KM looking at SA's photo in his camera and SA looking at KM's cap.

1. On the way to another filming location, YE fell asleep and landed on KM' shoulder.
2. What I love about this scene is, although at this stage it is still ambiguous who KM likes, the scriptwriter did not make it the typical scene where the male will try to push the female away but because he didn't succeed, he had no choice but to let her rest on his shoulder. Here, KM moved closer to YE right away so that her head can rest better on his shoulder. A very minute detail in the plot but I think it means alot, showing us that KM is either very gentlemanly or like YE. At this stage, it seems to be the former which makes us wonder more if the acts of affection to both females previously were just gentlemanly acts or something more.
3. At the destination, KM took a comical photo of YE and she attempted to snatch the camera back to delete it, but...
4. If you notice, in Pic 3, KM's right arm was wrapped around YE's back. But here, KM's arms were pressed towards his body instead. An error in filming!!!! XP

1. Having snatched the camera, YE tried to delete the phot, but instead, she saw a photo of SA.
2. "It would have been bad if I had met you at the street yesterday, right?" she said to KM. She (and KJ) was also at the same tourist district the day before and when she later realised KM was there too, she commented to KM that since they were both there, they were so close to meeting each other.
3. With a obvious look of disappointment, YE returned KM the camera and walked away. At this moment, it became very obvious that YE kind of like KM, just that little bit.
5. KM looks forward, wide-eyed. Why???

1. Because of her!
2. Or rather, her cap. It was the cap he lent her the previous day.
3. But I have no idea why he should look so shocked. o.O Was he shocked to see SA still wearing it, meaning she was still thinking about the incidents the previous day, or was he shocked because he was afraid that YE will further misunderstand? Till now I can't figure it out.
4. YE saw the cap too and recognised it was KM's, because she saw him wear it before. Her mood got worse and she left soon after. Back at the hotel, it was suggested that they go for dinner together but YE said she wants to go for a spa instead. To that, KM said he will go too. SA then said she will too and asked KJ to go as well. At the spa, KM was complaining of uneasiness wearing the bath robes and KJ asked why then did he choose to go to the spa. "YE is in a bad mood and I wanted to tag along to cheer her up." When KJ told the girls that it was KM's first time at the spa and so felt shy in the bath robes, YE snorted, "Shy? Don't pretend! Haven't you seen me in nighties before? And LiLi Massage. It was on the lighter you left behind." (During his first trip to Taiwan to pursuade YE to return, he had once went to YE's room to dry himself. Later, YE found a lighter with the words 'LiLi Massage' on it and believed it to be KM's. The name sounds like a massage service with 'extra' services lol)

Jealousy (by YE) + differences in their views of how the script should be like lead to a large argument between the two. However, it was easily resolved! KM was on the streets when he saw a pink tie, reminding him of YE's recommendation that he should wear a pink tie. He bought it, wore it, and solved the problem, albeit temporarily. XP SO CUTE! As in the plot. Well, he is cute too LOL. The fact that KM remembered YE's words and wore a tie on his own accord for the first time, despite him later commenting that it constraints him, says alot about the KM-YE relationship!

1. When YE heard news that the first day of filming was not too successful (KM kind of offended SA), she immediately went to her mom's restaurant to pack some lunch for KM. It was really cute, this scene of her watching him eat and of him eating with a blissful look.
2. After lunch, she went out of the room and re-entered with a surprise for KM - A box.
3. What's inside the box?
4. A director's chair, with KM's name on it!!
5. Awwwww look at that smile.
6. And this one too!

1. The crew went to film the opening sequence to the drama at this place lined with sakura trees. YE caught KM looking at the backview of SA.
2. And then she starts admiring the flowers. Oh man, and I thought only Japan had beautiful sakuras!! The sakuras here were really beautiful too and this is the first time I've seen such a sight on tv.
3. As she was doing so...
4. She didn't realise KM was looking at her too, this time with a smile added.

1. During a campfire at night, KM was looking at YE,
2. Who was looking intently at KJ as he sung to the crew which gathered around the campfire...so, who likes who now? O.o
3. During a game of Truth-of-Drink, SA asked KM, "For the female scriptwriters, actresses and stuff who work with you, do you see them as woman?" KM refused to answer this. In turn, he asked YE, "The ring which I helped you retrieve (from the sea), what is its significance?" And YE refused to answer too. YE then asked KJ, "You told me before that you have someone you love. Who is she?" And, KJ refused to answer too.
   
   There was an awkward part here where SA was rubbing her hands to keep warm, and immediately we see both KM and KJ taking off their coats, to let SA cover herself. In the end, neither did so because YE saw this awkward moment and grabbed a coat from a nearby chair for SA. This scene further complicates things a bit.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

1. As everyone slept on, YE went outside alone to admire the sakuras.
2. Suddenly, her halted in her tracks and looked down. Her feet were lit up by a beam of light.

1. Sports meet! The actual episode showed a shortened version but the BTS and the credits portion of the drama showed extra footages. It was really very funny to see how they played and cheated and how some of them suffered injuries from being too rough on each other.

4. Back from Taiwan, SA gives KM a lift back home. While in the mini-van, she commented, "I think scriptwriter Song hates me." She then asked, "What about you, director, do you hate me?" KM answer, "Honestly speaking, there are times I do and times I don't." "For example?" "Like just now." "Why?" "You were worried that scriptwriter Song hates you. This shows she is starting to mean something to you." Laughing, SA asked, "Scriptwriter Song and I have similar characters, but why is it that everyone seems to like her? Manager Jang's like that. You are also like that." KM answered, "You have the love of so many people, so just leave these two people for her." OMG!!!! He didn't answer, "No, I'm not like that." I saw this as the first confirmation that he does like YE.

1. YE had a meeting with her company and left the meeting upset because she was informed that the commercial slots for the drama were not even 50% sold. She then pays a visit to the SBC, only to find KJ sitting outside the building. She joins him.
2. KJ shelters YE from the sun with his hand but this shelter later evolved to something else when YE started crying as her confidence in the performance of Ticket To The Moon took a dive. She pulled his hand over her face and started weeping behind that hand.
3. And this sight was seen by both KM and SA who were walking out of the building towards them.
4. They later went to the cafetaria and KM went to buy some drinks. When he brought the drinks back to the table where KL and SA were at, KJ said, "Oh, you should have told me so I could have went to buy instead!" To this, KM kind of snapped, "Yeah, since your hands are so big. One hand is enough to cover such a big face."
   I appreciate this scene sooo much because we seldom get to see the childish side of KM!

I was watching tv last night when mokmok surprised me by calling all the way from Australia! Thankies dear!!! She asked me this question which a friend of hers posed to her.

What's your purpose on earth?

I have no idea, actually. And I don't think there's a fixed answer. All of us have different purposes, and our purposes change every now and then as we experience life and change our priorities and outlook in life. Well, coincidentally, the tv dorama i was watching then kind of posed a similar question.

I was watching タイヨウのうた (Taiyou no Uta//Song of the Sun). Mokmok: You like watching such shows about death.多分な。。。=]

LOADS OF CAPS & SPOILERS AHEAD.

I've finally watched this dorama. When I heard of this dorama and that Sawajiri Erika is the female lead, I became really interested in it and was waiting impatiently for th dvd to hit local stores. However, during the waiting period, negative news/tabloids about Erika appeared now and then and that caused my interest in the dorama to wane...till a week ago.

The reason behind my rekindled interest in this dorama is this guy:

DOB: 1983-Oct-20 (25 years old)
Height: 169cm
Has a son with an ex-gf, 3 years old

 

I was really shocked when I read that he has a son. He's only 25 years old! Amazing ne!

 

 

 

 

 

 

I first saw him in Water Boys where he was just one of the many cute guys. (woah, that was very long ago!) He didn't really leave much of an impression on me other than his being cute =P

Then, over a year ago, I caught him on tv again, this time in 世界の中心で、愛を叫ぶ // Crying Out Love, In The Center Of The World (caps from here). I wasn't really interested in it initially because by then, Takayuki's face had lost its presence in my brain and I wasn't really a fan of Ayase. The only reason I watched it was because I quite enjoyed the movie version.

 And then, Takayuki wowed me again with his charisma! It was after this dorama that I recalled why I liked him in Water Boys - his dorky expression (see top right picture in the Water Boys picture). It's so...non-star and that makes him look like the regular guy next door. カワイイじゃん！His acting is natural so his slow-witted personality on-screen doesn't make me feel irritated. It was endearing instead. However, the ill-fated Takayuki didn't stay with me for long. Before long, I got swept off my feet by Jun's Doumyouji-sama and Shin-chan. So Takayuki's image disappeared from my limited storage.

And now, just last week, I saw him again! I was getting really bored so I went to the vcd shop to buy myself some dvds - I left the shop with more than 5 dvds (movies/doramas) and CROWS ZERO was one of them.

I bought Crows Zero because of Shun. However, I was totally not watching Shun when he appeared. I was thinking of Takayuki. o.O He wasn't actually the main lead and for much of the middle of the movie, he wasn't there at all. However, I was hoping he would come out soon every time Shun's on the screen. It's amazing how I took to him right away despite me not having seen him for so long. Yappari he's my favourite Jap male actor ne! (He made it to the top after Sekai no chuushin de) In fact, I was quite torn between who to root for - Shun or Takayuki - during the final 'battle'. All I know is that, when Takayuki lost, I felt sad. Hopefully they will iron out their differences and become friends in the sequel.

After Crows Zero, I went to watch そのときは彼によろしく. I had bought it simply because Takayuki is in it. I wasn't really looking forward to this movie because the story sypnosis I read from online etc sounded odd and didn't manage to grab my attention. But well, since it was a "Buy 2 get 1 free" promotion, I bought this, together with ただ、君を愛してる // Heavenly Forest and コナン // Detective Conan 2007. So it was purely by chance and by fate that there wasn't something else I wanted and just had to buy SonoKare.

Right after Crows Zero, SonoKare slapped more Takayuki onto my face. Again, he was in the role of a slow-witted guy. He's always doing such roles (for the few doramas/movies I've seen him in) but I totally don't mind because he is really good at it. If you ever ask me to suggest a guy to lead in such a role/story, I will definitely vote him. He's good and convincing!

The thing with Takayuki is that every single time he makes an appearance before me, he wins me over. However, unlike many others, he doesn't make me go gaga. I think it has to do with the types of roles he takes on. They're usually sobering, non-idol-like kinds...which I absolutely buy and totally adore. So, while the strong dosage of Takayuki lingered in my mind yesterday when I stepped into Poh Kim, that didn't give me any impulse to buy anything with him in it. However, there was a sad draught of good Jdoramas (I'm so waiting for Maou and Zettai Kareshi!) so I ended up buying タイヨウのうた // Song of The Sun. The thing is, remember I said in the start that Erika's negative image kind of made me turn away from the dorama? Somehow, time made that pale and instead, Takayuki's presence made me buy it.

Of course, there were many points where I was sceptical about the Erika's role as someone so nice, friendly, strong and upbeat about life. However, I quickly shook those doubts away. In the end, I finished the show tearing and feeling touched.

This dorama isn't as sad as 1LOT...there are parallels to be drawn, such as the incurable illness, a dorky guy who stands by the side of the female lead, the female leads losing physio-motor abilities etc etc...However, I think the two are quite different.

1LOT made me cry more out of sympathy. It was heartwrenching to see a healthy and sunshiney girl like Aya slowly losing everything she has...and how God can continue devestating her in spite of her trying to stay strong. In contrast, タイヨウのうた made me cry more because of Kaoru's strength and beliefs. I admire her having a clear direction in life. I was touched by her struggles between her desire to love Kouji and her fear that loving will make her weak; between discarding her dream to live and disregarding her life to dream. Like what someone said in one of the episodes, the reason why everyone loves Kaoru is probably because of her strength.

タイヨウのうた was really an enjoyable show where I laughed almost as much as I cried. So here I am with loads of screencaps, mainly from the opening theme and the trailers for each ep, since I'm lazy to go to each individual ep to get caps.

Our leads! If there is one thing I want to complain, it'd be Takayuki's sideburns in the dorama. It's super long, like down the entire length of his cheeks! Go look out for them in the rest of the caps!

I was watching the BTS clips and Takayuki was really good at shooting. He made a hit with every shot he took! It was Erika's first time and he taught her how to aim at the targets.

The band MOON CHILD. Kouji came up with this name saying that that is a nick for XP patients...I think it's a pretty good name ne.

And below, my fav members of the band! Hamada Gaku's the bottom one. He's short but cute! I really liked him in here, much more than I did watching him in Proposal Daisakusen!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Top: Kaname Jun. I first came across him in Tantei Gakuen Q and he really stood out amongst all the kids. He did quite well in this dorama too...I kind of disliked his over-pragmatic ways of doing stuff but later, he became a nicer person and we started to understand how even he is sometimes helpless in how things are run.

Bottom: No idea who he is but he is darn funny. I found myself either laughing or chuckling whenever he appears. His facial expressions and his body movements really tickles the funny bone! He add comic relief to the whole dorama.

 

 Ok those were from the opening theme song. Following this we have screencaps from trailers to each episode!

After a bad start (Kouji pissed Kaoru off with his laidback attitude towards life, saying that "He doesn't mind dying tomorrow", to which Kaoru replied asking "Why not just die right away, since the sea is right before them." That pissed Kouji off and in turn, he continued to anger Kouru by critisizing her 'pretence' of being enthusiastic since she claimed to want to be a singer but only sings others singers' songs), Kouji started to open up to Kaoru.

Kaoru and Kouji plotted a 'coincidental meeting' at the theme park so that their best friends Misaki and Ryusuke can have a chance to patch up. So it was a date of some sort. I love the small scene where Kouji's friend Yuta told Kaoru that it was the first time he saw Kouji enjoying talking to a female. I thought that hinted at some advancement in their relationship. However, Kaoru's happiness was later crushed when Yuta told her about a mysterious girl who went to look for Kouji one night. 

Of course, she managed to clarify things with Kouji when the gang went to ride on the ferris wheel. Her joy didn't last long though. Due to an extremely odd and rather hilarious reason, the two of them were stuck in one of the ferris wheel cars in midair because no one realised they were still in the car.

It was only after this incident that the gang realised that Kaoru has XP. I think Erika did a rather good job in this scene where we could see her trying to hide her worries and anxiety from Kouji as the time to sunrise nears. When Kaoru finally explained her illness to Kouji and showed signs that she wanted to just give up, Kouji scolded her for having such thoughts. He used words that Kaoru had previously used on him to spur him out of his laidback outlook in life. So, he remembers her word eh? =)

With the truth of her illness made known to Kouji, Kaoru decides to end her dream of being a singer and to end her love for Kouji. I really like this part where they showed Kaoru struggling with herself, with her conflicting desires.

And on the other side, Kouji had a tough time thinking about his feelings. Did he like her? Was he willing to stay by her side? 

He finally decides to attend Kaoru's birthday party (It was kind of sad when her dad said that he should go because it may just well be her last birthday. Of course we later know that it was. T.T) He sewed a UV-protection suit for her but was rejected by Kaoru.

When he returned to the shop where they worked and stayed at, dejected, Yuta told him it was better that way since she'll die anytime (he had read up on XP) and it better not to get so close to her anymore. When Yuta said, "Are you sure you have the courage to watch her die?" Kouji really blew up and the two got into a fight. I think this fight really spoke volumes about how Kouji thought of Kaoru.

He later sneaked out to the garden where Kaoru used to sing at and there, he listened to her cd for the first time.

When Asami (his childhood sweetheart/first love) went to look for him, Kouji refused to listen to her. However, when she mentioned Kaoru's name, he gave in. He realised that Kudou (Kaname Jun's character) was not interested in helping Kaoru debut and only wanted to get her to help as a ghost writer to write songs for Asami.

Kouji didn't want Kaoru to get hurt so he went to beg Kudou to give her a chance as a singer. He even got onto his knees yo! However, it was all but fruitful.

He had no choice but to tell Kaoru the truth. To his surprise, Kaoru didn't get too upset. She was stronger than he thought. Kaoru probed about how Kouji found out about it and Kouji finally told her about Asami.

 

 

Kaoru then happily said that two good things happened to her that day.

1. Kouji went all the way to Tokyo for her sake.

2. Kouji told her of a secret (that he knew Asami from before) that he had never told anyone about before.

And after that, she went home and wrote a new song called タイヨウのうた. When the melody was finished, she asked Kouji out to be her audience, the first to hear her new song.

She was playing the guitar and singing to the melody while Kouji was sitting in front of her, enjoying the song. However, her left had suddenly lost strength. Kaoru made an excuse and left Kouji. After a checkup at her doctor's, she realised that she can never play the guitar again because her left hand had lost its strength, one of the syndromes of XP.

Dejected and lost, she ran away. With just a few hours to dawn, everyone ran around town to look for her. They each had one of the UV-protection suit with them just in case.

Of course, Kouji has to be the one who finds her ne?

He finds her by the sea and despite him trying to console her, she had lost all hope. To her, she lived her life to fulfil her dream of becoming a singer. With that dream being taken away from her, she couldn't find any reason to live for anymore. Hence, she grabbed her guitar and made a dash for the choppy sea. Kouji chased after her and pulled her back, refusing to let her go.

When Kaoru asked why,

Kouji finally, for the first time, clearly stated his feelings for her.

 

 

And although he had once said that he will not play the guitar again, he did so, for her sake. He will become her guitar, he said.

 

 

Yuta and the rest saw Kouji playing the guitar at the park and felt that he looked really sauve playing the guitar. When they returned, they decided to form a band and take part in the Band Fest!

I think it's amazing that the casts really went to learn how to play those instruments just for this dorama. Although they may not look too polished, I appreciate their efforts!

Two weeks later, Kouji asked Kaoru out on a date. She had expressed a wish to look at the moon from the nearby light tower and Kouji wanted to fulfil that wish of hers.

Unfortunately, one of Kouji's acquaintance from his past spotted Kouji and decided to make trouble for him. They sneaked up on Kaoru while she was waiting at the tower and took her to the nearby park.

They tried to rape her but fortunately, Yuta and gang were passing by and heard her screams. They rushed over to help but were beaten up by the baddies. Kaoru was cornered by one of the baddies and it seemed as if she was going to fall into his clutches when Kouji appeared! Kouji was no match for him though...but luckily for them, a policeman came by and chased the baddies away.

 

 The cap above doesn't do that shot justice. In the actual thing, a single teardrop rolled down his cheek as he looked at the frightened Kaoru. He didn't say a word. I felt that his expression touched much more than any words could ever do so.

What I felt was odd was that Kaoru didn't seem as frightened as I expected a girl to be after being nearly raped. o.O

In fact, Kouji seemed much more affected by it...

Kaoru probed into Kouji's past and asked him if he still thinks of Asami. At that point, Kouji asked her if she trusted him anymore. He then suggested that he is not suitable for her.

Kaoru, being such an outspoken and affirmative girl, told Kouji that she wants to be with him forever.

 

The following day, Kaoru's best friend Misaki went to confront Kouji and gave him a slap for forcing Kaoru to leave him the night before by using her illness - she can't be in the sun and hence had to leave Kouji when dawn approached although she still had much to talk to him about.

After that, Kouji left and disappeared.

Kouji decides to run away with Asami.

A few days before that fateful day (which was the same day as the Band Fest), he spotted Kaoru in the town where he escaped to.

Kaoru had went to the bento factory where she knew Kouji had previously worked in. From there, she found out the town where Kouji lived in before he moved into the factory's hostel. She then went to look for him there by giving out flyers with his picture printed on them.

Kouji was at a convenience store buying an onigiri when he heard other shoppers talking about a girl wearing a pink suit standing in the sun. Instinctively, he ran out of the store and went to search for the said girl. It was Kaoru.

When they finally met, Kaoru didn't ask him to return. She simply told him that everyone was practising hard for the fest. She said that he was very fortunate to have so many people caring for him and so he should return that favour to them.

 

Kouji asked her why she wasn't mad at him for practically dumping her and she told him that she had ran away from him once so with him doing the same this time round, they were quits. I really think this scene is very true to Kaoru's strong character. She believed in Kouji and she showed that through her actions.

 

Her trust was not wasted because Kouji returned, just in time for the Band Fest.

That scene had raindrops falling and I thought that the director added that just for special effects. However, after watching the BTS clips, I realised that that raindrops were unintended and it actually rained quite heavily that day.

 

When Asami learns that Kudou wants to sign Moon Child up, she went to beg Kaoru to give up Kouji and not take both music and Kouji away from her. She questioned Kaoru's ability to give Kouji happiness since Kaoru's most probably going to die within the next few years.

I'm glad that unlike typical Korean soap dramas, our Kaoru here told Asami that it was precisely because she will not be there for him in 10 years time that she has to give him 100 years worth of love right now. =)

Later, when news of Kudou's intentions to sign them up reached the ears of Yuta and gang, they got mad at Kaoru for rejecting the offer without even discussing it with them. Kouji stays by her side to give her comfort.

Kaoru finally decides to accept the offer.

Their happiness if short-lived because the media soon finds out (due to some evil scheme) that Kaoru has the incurable XP and she is in a love triangle with Kouji and the red hot Asami.

Upon learning this, Kouji rushes to Kaoru's house to check up on her.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kudou decides that Moon Child was ruined by all these scandals and wants to discharge their contract. The guys went to his office to plead with him. However, even Kudou couldn't do anything about it.

When they went back to their town, Kouji phoned Kaoru to apologise for not being able to change anything. Instead of being disappointed, Kaoru tries to encourage Kouji by telling him that as long as their persist, their dream will not die; it is something that no one can snatch away from them. Hence, they should just view this as a chance missed but not give up.

Just as you think that it'll all die down soon, Kouji returns to the shop to see a crowd of people swarming the shop - the reporters had found out where he lived in! While trying to break free from the reporters, one of them got injured and he claimed that Kouji did that, causing him to get brought away by the police.

Upon hearing that, Kaoru dashes out of the house without her protective suit, in broad daylight. =(

What for? I don't get.

Fast forward to the last ep where we have Asami's concert where Moon Child makes their debut as a guest performer.

Kaoru thanks each member for helping her fulfil her dream....

but after that, she burst into coughing fits. That hinted at a respiratory problem. That was a fatal syndrome for her and the doctor had wanted her to undergo sugery to remove her vocal chords to prevent that problem from reoccuring. However, that would mean that she won't be able to sing anymore. It was a tough choice for her but she decided that rather than to give up her dream to live, she wants to pursue her dreams, even if her life was at stake.

She once asked Kouji what was the right choice to make. Kouji replied that he doesn't know, although he know the choice which will leave her with no regrets. I like this part of the script! It has deeper meanings than to have Kouji tell her a bunch of theories (aka long grandmom stories). In fact, Kouji said nothing about what she should do. Even after Kaoru made her choice, he didn't comment on it. He chose to just stay by her and stand by her choice, although I thought I saw a tinge of sadness when Kaoru decided not to undergo the surgery. Yet, he said nothing. I so love his character yo!

Go watch it and I guarantee you will be touched by the scene and by what Kouji said...I love how the sriptwriters always give Kouji lines that I'd never expect someone in his shoes to say and how those lines echo his personality.

And also, ありがとう instead of 愛してる. That makes it more special ne.

Gomen, neighbours, for such a long, graphics-intensive post! I wonder if anyone even bothered reading. =X

I reckon this is the longest post I've ever typed for a dorama. =/ I really like this dorama, but it doesn't make me doki doki and gaga...like tw idol dramas/HYD etc do....it's enjoyable on another level.

I guess I do like 純情なラブストーリー ne! XP They won't happen in rl but sometimes, it's good to believe in the pure!

 

 

Aniwaes, I was just reading up on Takayuki when I realised that he's the guy in Densha Otoko. o.O MY GOSH...I never realised. I keep seeing him in vcd shops but because I liked neither the female lead (too old) nor the male lead (too ugly) and that I 'didn't' know them, I never bothered to have a second look. But...the guy's Takayuki! They did a darn good job at transforming him into an otaku!

 

 

 

 

So, one last question:

I finally watched this. Honestly speaking, I don't really remember much of the dorama...either because I rushed through it as I usually did or because the dorama didn't really leave much of an impression on me. Hence, I put the SP on hold...It was only when I spotted the file in the whole bunch of files Angel saved in my HDD that I decided to give it a shot (I seriously need to get away from Kor..another test this Friday!).

I like the SP much more than the dorama. Ok, one thing I remember about the dorama is how I got irritated by the same old repetitive action YamaPi does everytime he goes back in time and says "Hallelujah Chance". Good thing it only happened once (I count it as once) in the SP.

I was really touched by Ken-zo's friend...Tsuru. His love for Eri is so straightforward, like what Ken said: simple yet touching.

I love the scenery at the beach...The colours of the evening sky was so beautiful...Hawaii. =) Looks like it's a good place to take a vacation at.

I've never thought much about Nagasawa Masami and I don't think I can even name her offhanded when shown her picture. But I really thought she looked very pretty in the SP. And yes, when I saw pictures of her in the wedding gown, I found her quite pretty too.

There was this scene in the SP where Mikio (acted by Hiraoka Yuta, whom I find really suave, even in BokuImo) told Ken that everything about their friendship had been coincidences: how they didn't expect themselves to remind such close friends years after they finished high school, how Ken had initially disliked almost everyone in their group now, how they got to know each other due to a series of coincidences. If their academic abilities differed by just a bit, they might be in different schools. If the guys hadn't joined the baseball club, they would be close. If Ken hadn't seen that homerun by a pro when he was young, he wouldn't have played baseball. If Mikio had been good in soccer, he wouldn't have played baseball...

My Favourite scene/background in the SP

We don't get our "Hallelujah Chance" like Ken-zo does, so we've got to make sure every decision are truly what we want and every thing we choose not to do will not be a source of regret in the future. :) One thing I took away from プロポーズ大作戦 was that rather than regret and hope to change things in the past, it's best we live the moment and take things from there. There's no 'what-if's ; there is only 'what-now's.

I was about to go off and start watching 探偵学園Ｑ after posting the post below but...

I decided to have a look at the Kanjani 8 PV angel sent me earlier. She was saying how funny it was...and as the PV started playing, I burst out laughing.

 

Throughout the PV I was doing 3 things:

• Looking at how cute he is!!! He looked so happy and genki in there yo. I don't quite see him like this in other performances. Maybe it's because I don't watch enough progs of him (hey Arashi is enough to take up my screentime!!!) or maybe it's because this song and the dance paints a happy/jumpy image.
• Studying everyone's legs and trying to see whose thighs are the most muscular/flabby.
• Laughing.

 

What amazed me most is their ability to put those on and pull it off. They have the "Yo man, this IS coOl." look on their faces. I mean, you don't usually associate idols with shorts right? At least not these kind of shorts. Can you imagine Arashi wearing shorts in their perf?! And imagine our boys swirling their hips like they always do, in shorts.

Demo, those guys did it with pride and confidence...so much so that it won me over. XD And they had to model around in those shorts and dance this really quirky and funny dance. The overall atmosphere felt a little like an Arashi tvshow, where everyone is having fun X everyone is in Aiba-chan mode.

「ラッキー！！！」って

I'm quite sensitive to this word today...because...everyone seems to be saying that to me.

I received an email from the OAS regarding my query about the subjects I am supposed to be allocated for next semester..they had kind of screwed up and didn't allocate this one subject I was supposed to read. And so they allocated it to me and I had a three-day school week. My timetable is quite good. =) And so my friend who had a 4-day week was saying how heng (lucky) I was. =/

Next, Angeline was also telling me how lucky I was to be able to buy the One concert pamphlet.

Then, my bestie told me how lucky I was to have met our ex-classmate yesterday.

 

But I don't feel very lucky. =/

I know...I am lucky as a person. But I don't feel very lucky these few days...especially yesterday and today. XP The DAI song? >_<

• I'm spoiling everything! My ipod's spoilt. This is the worst thing ever.......the worst!!!!!!!!! Well you see, I am the enemy of all electronics. Any electronic good near me will spoil somehow. I can even spoil the tv without touching it, yes, just by sitting next to it. O.o it always happens! No electronic good can stay in my hands for long.
  
• And then, I spoilt the door or my cupboard yesterday. =.=
  
• And then, my maid threw away my plastic bag into which I had put a piece of paper. To her, the paper was just rubbish. To me, it is something very important!!!! T.T And I think I had some other stuff ('rubbish') in it too demo she says there was only that piece of paper. I don't know if she's telling the truth because I can't exactly remember what I put into that plastic bag. But the thing is, I can't seem to find the 'other stuff'!!!

 

How unlucky can I get?

 

Ok enough ranting...The main purpose of this post is to fangirl a little over the last Jdorama I watched. I'll try to sound as excited as I was when I watched it. It is a rather backdated one...aired in 2003. =))) The reason why I need to fangirl is because of 2 particular scenes.

I like Mukodono 2003 better than its predecessor.

The storyline is more touching and I felt that Nagase's acting had improved quite a bit, especially in the more emotional scenes like the one above. I really felt the heartache for him then. He was still as funny (and remained to be so in MBMH) and I liked the song in M2003 better.

Also, his character in M2003, although still as nice to everyone and as silly, was more appealing to me because it felt more real and some of the lines he said were pretty touching. Yes, the screenwriter did a good job with the script.

The addition of a female manager for Yuichiro was good too because she added more colours and emotions to the dorama.

I don't usually rate doramas because it's really hard to compare since each and every drama has got their own strengths and appeal. But relative to MBMH, I'll give Mukodono 2003 a....4 stars out of 5!

Oh! Do make your way down to Orchard in the evening ne, fellow S'poreans. The lights are so beautiful, they actually reminded me of Japan. To be exact, Roppongi Hills!!!!! For the past 3 years, I've spent 1 week + every December at Roppongi Hills, surrounded by the beautiful, signature blue lightups. That, coupled with the cool (cold) Fuyu wind...ロマンチックで安らぎを覚える。So head down there one day ne? Makes one feel better after a bad day...=) Rin's clouds + sky can also make one feel more at peace........

=) I got my TIME albums from Angeline dear today.  But I've not opened them yet. I don't think I'll be opening them. Lazy~ I take me 5 mins to open one, and another 5 to put it back nicely. argh....I'll just asked Angeline to send me rips XD

Bought the Mayday album today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The one with 3 new songs, 3 remixes, and 12 songs recorded live from their concert. (The one which I missed because no one wanted to go with me!!! MAYDAY is so talented, and their concerts are VERY HIGH. Like Arashi's, just without the dancing...but, none of my friends wanna go!! sighz) Yes, for that 3 songs, I bought the album! The songs are good yo. And the thing is, it costed just 16 SGD. We asked, and Arashi's TIME LE (second batch, because the 1st batch got sold out already! YAY!) will arrive in 2 weeks' time and costs 80 SGD. I can buy like...5 Mayday albums =P

I uploaded Mayday's 離開地球表面! Very nice!! Listen to it ne.

AHHH the live recorded version of their songs..so beautiful..in some of the songs, I could hear the fans singing along. If only Arashi has got such albums as well!

I will buy the Leehom album when the version with the autograph entrance pass comes out, as usual. And usually, after attending the autograph session, I won't listen to the album for a month, because I usually go 3 or 4 hours beforehand, and get to hear the same album being played for numerous times, until I can memorise the songs already!

Aniwaes, busy day today, but I will still post my beloved screencaps! I made them yesterday, because I knew that I won't have time to today. Not as much as the previous eps, just 230 caps, 38 strips. =) I'm so happy, because Melissa says she'll give the drama a shot!
