PASSED!!!!!
Now I can go back to Japanese and try JLPT 2 again next year. The lack of time, oh the lack of time...and I expect that to be resolved next year, after I graduate (and enter the cruel audit line)?! I'm naive.
Gf just came back from Hong Kong and he bought me these!
Although I've got them all (the LE ones), I'm still very happy! But they came a bit too late because I had alreayd opened my Japan version ones. ARGH Shouldn't have done so...aniwaes, these are HK, REs. One good news, because my 5x10 is the LE one, so now I have the RE too! And the hidden track yay!!
He said these are all that's available of Arashi in the store. YAY! Arashi IS doing well ne.
Oh, and my stamps arrived! Will be sending letters to the radio shows using these stamps!
Aniwaes, I'm currently scouting for friends to go to SS501's con together! Anyone interested??
because I need to clear up all the work that should be done over next weekend....
But, I went out playing the whole day today.
KTV with kaminari in the day, Summer Matsuri in the evening.
KTV was a different experience coz...we were all singing our own parts. When I go with my Arashi family, we just sing anything and everything..but today, SUGOI! They even brought along romanji lyrics and notes on who sang which part. A different kind of experience, fun too.
Then we went to Changi Japanese Primary School for the natsumatsuri. Went with Angeline and fortunately we had advance tickets, because I saw a queue that resembles an Arashi con goods queue at 10am. We got to wear an yukata, which was way faster to wear than the kimono, and less restrictive. Still, it was sooo hot! Fortunately, we had an uchiwa...so now we know, uchiwas have a purpose! I saw someone with a Tackey and Tsubasa uchiwa!
It was really fun, coz a lot of people were wearing yukatas! And the kids who wore were really cute. Well, have I ever said that guys in yukata are really hot?? Not just arashi k. Almost everyone. XP The whole atmosphere was very...matsuri like. XP And I had the sudden urge to eat the corn coz...in Gokusen (mangaverse), 3D set Shin and Yankumi on a date at the natsu matsuri, and Yankumi was eating corn when a lot of romantic things happened! lol...aniwaes, I spotted someone in the soccer team with the name "Jun" printed at the back of his jersey. hehe!
I went eating all the way, and then watched the performance. I was like "Ikemen!!!" when the soccer team came on stage to do some ball dribbling. But as they introduced the members one by one, I didn't hear any 'Jun'!! But still, really, they are quite good looking haha! Hanakimi anyone?
The only part I didn;t quite enjoy was the song to a dance...when I heard the intro to the song, I was like "cannot be!!" But!!!! It turned out to be...NOBODY. Of all places, at the JAPANESE NATSU MATSURI!! Like I haven't heard enough of it, on tv, in shops, in school, on blogs...
I think I'm gonna attend one of the matsuri when I go Tokyo. I saw the 'advertisement' for it on yahoo.co.jp. The only regret is that there's no hanabi, and I don't think I can put on an yukata by myself. =/ I guess I'll just go there for food and games and good looking guys/girls hunting!
Just finished lecture...
Well, I'm really.
Stressed.
Sian.
SUPER SIAN...
If only...if only!
Now that's my boy!
FINALLY!
I think it's proof that arashi is getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
- First, we had Sho, who seldom acts in doramas - save for Yoi Ko no Mikata (sp?) - starting to act in lead roles on tv.
- Then, we had Ohno, who never ever acted outside of butais and arashi movies, shocking us all with his mind-blowing performance on Maou, and then more to come.
- Now, finally, the one who only appeared just that bit in dramas. AIBA!!!!!!!!!!!
As if we still need to know how big arashi is right now.
Oh man, suddenly I get the hope to go to the con again! Shd I?
And I got my gokusen goods today! Love the Shirokin badge!!! For once, I used the arashi con goods I bought...the AAA + Dome tote bag...it's really useful coz the shape is very nice regardless of how much stuff you put inside, and you can really put ALOT of things in it!
Ja I'll go back to Uta no Oniisan. I was laughing really hard at Ohno's ridiculous costumes and expressions! Kawai.....sou?
i can't believe it.
I just returned from a host club.
Yes, right here in Singapore.
Ok maybe it's not a big deal for some of you, but for me, I've always linked host clubs to Japan...and to learn that there are some here is shocking...what more to visit one myself.
It all began during dinner with Sam after work today. She told me that Dennis was going with his colleagues and asked if we wanted to join for a while. Since we had nothing to do, we decided to go along, and together, we reached the place at 10pm (it operates from 10pm to 6am), which wasn't a good timing because we were the only patrons there. Oh well.
It's kind of different from the host clubs I stumbled upon in Tokyo. Of course, there were no big billboards with pictures of the club's 'star hosts' printed all over, and you don't automatically get asked to choose a host to entertain you for the night. So, in this sense, you can visit the place like it's a normal, usual pub, just with lots of eye candy sitting around.
Yes, I said it. Eye candies. There were good looking guys! lol. But it was quite dark, so perhaps that had an effect too. It was something like those I saw in Japan. Many had Japanese-y haristyles and most wore suits and Japan-style street wear. It was quite cool coz, you know, I love guys in suits, but Singapore just isn't the place for such attire.
Aniwaes, everyone was shy so we just sat around and entertained ourselves till about 11 when we finally got two hosts to join us. Sadly, Sam had to leave right after the two came, so I went off with her. It was noted though, that the two were quite good looking. I'm quite interested in 'interviewing' them coz...it must be quite difficult to just sit into a group of strangers and keep them entertained. I mean, you can't be a host who just sits there and let your patron feel bored, right? Hard job, but at the same time, quite easy money.
According to Sam, whose cousin's boyfriend owned the place (plus a few other outlets), tips are voluntary, you just need to buy the hosts a drink. Well, the guys also sing on stage so you can request for songs...I heard a few sing before I left, and their voices were pretty decent. It was just their pronounciation that needs a bit of effort to understand.
Sam helped the girls (Dennis' colleagues) to 'order' the hosts. Lol, it sounds odd but yes, it was somewhat like that. She approached the 'manager' aka papa-san to ask for two hosts and he asked her, "Which do you want? Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore or China one?" To which she just said, "Shuai one can le." And then he pointed a few to her for her to agree.
Lol. Overall, it was an interesting experience. Somewhere I would never go without crazy friends.
Oh, I drank a glass of martell plus green tea! My rare few ventures outside champaign, but it wasn't too bad beyond the first few sips.
Next stop, TOKYO host club!
(Nah, kidding)
Only if there's ARASHI in there!
I've been so busy to keep up with their progress, but they never fail to remind me why I love them so much.
I watched the two new PVs and...I loved them all.
Crazy Moon for the dance, the tempo.
Ashita no kioku for the PV concept, Ohno's painting in there, the melody and most of all, the lyrics...
As before, Arashi's lyrics never fail to touch me. I feel like translating it for my own keepsake, but it's getting late and I have work tomorrow (I just got home a two hours before! >_<) so maybe till wkend!
I wasn't looking forward to my 21st birthday at all.
For one, it meant I was a state-recognised adult.
For two, it meant I was really in my 20s (no more "oh, I'm just one year past 'teen'!")
For three, I was faced with the decision of whether to hold a birthday party (which I think I would fail as a host)
For four, one of my best friend wouldn't be with me!
But now, I'm kind of looking forward to it, because of this:
嵐 10th Anniversary Tour "LOVE DIARY" 2009
The concert opens on my birthday!
Now, if only I can get permission to go...since it's on a Friday, I may be able to get away from school for just that one day, provided my parents agree. And since it's afterall the 'special' 21st, I may be able to. That would be the bestest bestest 21st birthday present ever! I was thinking off getting my parents to sponser me an overseas birthday trip over the weekend with a few of my friends, but I guess the concert is a pretty good option too. Gotta ask jolie is she can help! XD
Oh, I'm still a live btw...just very busy with tons of OT for my internship, and very dejected by my recently-released results. =( It's a kind of relief that I no longer have hope of getting a first-class, but it's also very painful because my record of excellant academic results thus far is ruined. And there goes my motivation to push myself....While, Mark (newly made internship group A friend) said that the firms will look at the core subjects when considering the applicants, rather than just at the overall CGPA...so that's one goal to aim for. =X I've already did poorly for 2 out of the 8. 3 were good, but there's still 3 more, much tougher ones coming! =/ Ganbatte! Fighting!
Before I leave for vacation (my first time with friends yay!), let me post some pictures taken during my last Korean class this sem. We made kimbap (sushi)!!! It was odd coz I tend to associate it to Japan...Someone asked the teacher where it originated from and she said that while Koreans say Korea, Japanese say Japan...but it doesn't really matter. TRUE!
Do you think Aiba would have been proud? XP
And, a cover song of Mature by Hwang Bo, and a fanvid to commemorate the 1st year anniversarya of JoongBo!!
Spent my whole day after exams to do this. My voice sounds odd, but make do lah~ Man I miss my choir days...
I'm going to restart RNK. I stopped watching halfway coz of school, but now I see it winning wards here and there, and I think I should start watching it all over again!! After my vacation trip, before internship starts, coz being the workaholic I am, I can foresee myself working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. Ja ne!
I'm waiting for my teammates to reach school for our meeting, so I took some time off to come on vox.
I was having a meeting yesterday in the Reading Room (a misnomer since people usually ohave meetings there, some even eat there, so it's anything but condusive for reading). There, I saw someone's laptop, whose screen was facing me.
And I so....
Kitto Daijyoubu!!!
The single cover art as the wallpaper!
Woot! Fellow fan.
So near ne!
